Congratulations to Vivian Cooper Smith who has won the 2020 overall CLIP Award (Contemporary Landscapes in Photography) at the Perth Centre for Photography. This award is an internationally open photographic prize for new perspectives in natural and urban landscape photography. The selection criteria focuses on images which are original, stimulating, and that challenge traditional notions of landscape photography.

From his studio in Melbourne, Vivian Cooper Smith shares some insights into his experimentation with mark-making processes, a fundamental resource in the development of his new body of work, Actions for a Luminous World.

Vicky Browne is included in The Gymnasium, the debut exhibition on main campus at The University of Sydney. Curated by Liam Garstang, the presentation pays tribute to the site’s former function as a gymnasium and brings together a varied group of artists connected by their shared history as SCA Alumni. 3 – 29 August, SCA Gallery, Old Teachers College, Manning Road, The University of Sydney.
